Drinks This can't be a good idea

Len took stock of the room immediately upon entry. He saw all possible exits, where the bartender kept the gun and baseball bat behind the bar, all the windows who was the most intoxicated and who would pose the biggest threat. Not including Sara of course. She was the most dangerous person in this bar as far as he could tell but even the best can have problems when outnumbered.

As they walked through to the back of the bar Len noticed a number of the men staring at Sara as they passed. They would then look at him trying to decide if fighting him over her was worth it. Personally Len thought it would be worth it with how fun Sara was but if any of these guys tried to pick a fight over Sara, Len was the least of there worries. He smirked at most of the men in that "I know something you don't and your all idiots for not seeing it." Mick and Lisa both agreed that he had perfected the look years ago.

When they got to the back of the bar and found an empty pool table Len took off his jacket. He still had a long sleeve shirt on but he preferred to be more mobile when playing something like this. Especially against someone like Sara who seemed naturally good at just about everything she seemed to try. It would have been annoying if his sister didn't say that's what he was like all the time.

"What do you want to drink Canary?" He asked with a smirk as he gestured to the bar.

Just as Leonard did, Sara pinpointed everything crucial in the bar. She ignored the looks from the men, but did take note of who sent them, in case there was trouble.

Though, she didn't mind trouble too much.

As they found the empty pool table, Sara took off her jacket and tossed it on the chair near the table. Grabbing a cue stick, she rubbed the chalk onto the end of it. Glancing back at Leonard, she smirked. "A Vieux Carré if the bartender knows how to make one, if not, scotch will do just fine."

She blew some of the extra chalk off the cue stick. "I'll rack the balls up and you break when you get back?" she asked, setting her stick on the table, before she began pulling the balls and rack out.

Len smirked and nodded heading to the bar. After he got to the bar and ordered Sara's drink the bartender looked at him blankly. Len sighed. "Just make it two scotches neat." He said shaking his head.

Leonard took the two classes and headed toward the back where Sara waited with the two cue's and the racked balls.

He handed her, her drink. "The bartender just stared at me when I told him your first choice I just got you a scotch net." He took a sip of his own drink as he took his cue.

He set his glass down and took his position and broke. He smirked as he sunk two solids. He pulled back and took up his drink, taking a sip.

"Tch, figures." Sara said, taking her scotch from him.

Taking a sip of her drink, she watched as he broke the balls and sunk in two solids. "Hmm, nice." She smirked at him as she watched him get ready for another shot.

He sunk in one more ball before missing the next shot. "Finally, was starting to think I wouldn't get a chance." She winked at him as she set her glass down.

Studying the table, she took the shot and knocked a stripe in. After knocking in three more balls, she hit a stripe, but it curved around the pocket, causing her to curse lightly. "Your turn, Cold." She set her cue stick against the wall as she went back to drinking her scotch.

Out of the corner of her eye, she could see a group of three men watching them. Glancing at them as she sipped her drink, she saw one of them point to their neck, before nodding at her and Leonard once more.

"Looks like we have fans," she said cautiously as the men kept looking at them. "Think they'll start trouble?"

Len watched as Sara sunk four pulling ahead of him slightly.  He examined the table looking for his next shot when Sara commented about fans.  He looked up at the man she indicated.  

"Always nice to meet a fan."  He commented sarcastically.  "Probably." answered her question.  "They probably will want a fight.  See how tough we are."  He rolled his eyes at the idea.  Looking at these guys he could take them on his own.  Sara could probably be drunk off her ass and still give them a beat down.

He went back to ignoring them for the moment taking his shot sinking two solids at once.  As long as those guys stayed over there he was fine ignoring them.  If he picked a fight with everyone that gave him the stink eye, he'd have more scars then Mick, and Mick liked setting himself on fire.

Len set up for his next shot when one of the patrons Sara pointed out to him came over. The jackass actually bumped his cue when he was about to strike the white ball, screwing up his shot. Len's lips pinched together, his eyes narrowed he stood up straight and took a deep breath making himself think first. When he was young Len had almost as bad a temper as Mick or even his father, but he refused to let himself have anything in common with his father so he made sure to learn to control his response to his anger.

"Is there a problem here?" He asked, giving the moron a chance to leave or back down before hurting him.

The guy was taller about as tall as Mick and almost as muscular. He gave Len an ugly grin. "Just thought I'd come over here and see about getting your lady a drink." He said before running his big hand over Sara's shoulder and arm.

Len came very close to laughing at the man. Not only was he groping at an elite Assassin, but he was also indicating that Len was in charge of her like she was his property, which she wouldn't appreciate at all. Len leaned back and smirked. He raised his eyebrow and spoke calmly. "Why don't you ask her yourself. See how she reacts." He dared the fool.

Sara agreed silently with Leonard, but didn't like any of the looks the two groots were sending them. When he moved to take his shot, she moved out of his way, letting him have his space.

She smirked at him sinking in two more balls in a row. He's too good at this. She thought, shaking her head as she finished her scotch.

Sara had a feeling Leonard would end up sinking in the next ball he hit, so she just relaxed. It was only the first game and she planned on beating him at some point.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed one of the groots was heading their way. Guess I won't be relaxing tonight... She thought, annoyed as the guy bumped into Leonard's cue stick, making him mess up his shot.

Asshole. She thought, before the ugly groot put his sweaty arm around her shoulder and arm. Her eye twitched as she could see Leonard close to laughter.

"What about it, babe? Want a drink for a real man?" he asked, grinning his ugly mouth at her.

Sara gave him a sweet look, but she knew Leonard could tell she was holding back the explosion. "Sure..." She said, before grabbing his arm in one movement and twisting it behind him. "Just not from a smelly ass like you." She said, before breaking his arm without a second thought.

The man let out an ugly scream, bringing his buddy over to them. "What the hell, bitch?" He stomped over to her and went to grab her.

"What the hell is right." She responded, ducking down under his arms and kicking him in the stomach. "What the hell made your idiot friend think I was drunk? Hell, no one can get drunk enough to think either one of you is pretty. Bet your mommas cried when you were born." She smirked, causing the man to run at her in anger.

She did a back flip onto the pool table and kicked him in the head. "Take a nap."

Sara jumped off the table, landing on one of the goons that was coming up behind Leonard. "Need some help?" she asked, standing back to back with him. She grabbed her cue stick, using it just like her staff, even if it wasn't balanced right.

Knocking one guy in the head, she dropped low and knocked the legs out of another. She let out a laugh as she fought, enjoying beating the crap out of the men too much.

In the middle of the fight, Sara could hear sirens raging. "Cops! We need to get out of here." She punched one guy in the mouth, knocking out a few teeth.

Len grinned as he fought with Sara. He might not be one to go out looking for fights but he did enjoy them when they came around.

He didn't need Sara to comment on cops showing up his sister had said he had a six sense for cops so he heard the sirens and was just a few steps from the door. "Lets go Lance!" He yelled over the sounds of the fight as he opened the door for the blonde assassin.

As Sara follows him out Len jumps onto a motorcycle that belonged to one of the other patrons. He was so practiced that it only took him a few seconds to hot wire the bike and reved the engien. He turned to the woman and waited for Lance to jump on with him so they could make their getaway.

"Sorry, boy! Looks like we'll have to take a rain check." She said, grabbing the almost forgotten jackets, as she quickly following Leonard out the door.

Slipping her jacket on, she ended up fighting some of the brutes that followed them out with Leonard's jacket. More brutes followed them out the door, causing her to curse. While her partner worked on hotwiring one of the bikes, Sara beat the men back. After knocking out the fifth guy, she turned and jumped on the back of the bike, wrapping her arms around his waist.

The moment she was on, Leonard took off, going in the opposite direction of the police. When he turned, she leaned with him, keeping the balance on the bike. Once they were far away from the cops, he slowed down near an empty field.

Sara smirked at Leonard when he looked back at her. "Well, that was fun."

Sara smiled at him, before loosening her grip. "Thought you'd might want this back." She said, handing him his jacket. "Had to use it to knck out a few guys, but it should be fine."

Leaning back, she looked out onto the field tey were stopped by. "Anywhere but the house... I can't keep being cooped up there for long... Waiting for our fights to start... I don't care where we go." She said, holding back onto him, ready for him to drive.

Sara didn't think she would connect with anyone at the manor as well as she was with Leonard. She didn't know any of them on any level, while she knew Leonard before they were abducted. The only other people that she would be connected to and cling to if there were there was Laural, Ollie, and her dad. Her dad wasn't a mask, so she didn't have to worry about him showing up.

If Larual or Oliver showed up, she didn't know what she would do. It would be too personal then.

She raised her head from his shoulder and looked at him with an amused smile. It wasn't her city, so why not?

"Sure, I could use a new pair of earrings." She said with a small laugh. "And pizza sounds delish." She told him, placing her chin on his shoulder. "I'm game for anything tonight."

After beating up those thugs, she felt energetic. She hadn't felt this energetic in a long time, it was a missed feeling.

Len's smirk widened as he revved the engine.  "Lets find you those earrings then."

They took off, and Leonard began scanning for a high end jewelry store.  It took him ten minutes to find a good enough store that didn't make him feel like a stick up man.  He had been better then that when he was 10 and his dad was taking him on jobs.  

He pulled over two blocks away after circling the building twice.  There was no guard and one employee plus the manager but he saw that they locking the doors right as he and Sara walked by.  They took a turn down the ally that lead them to the back door.

As they walked by the front Len had spotted a very cheap alarm system and one camera that was pointed at the front door.

It took him two minutes to bypass the alarm and unlock the door.  It was actually very sad.  The only thing that made this interesting at all was the fact that Sara was there.  He held the door open for her and followed after her closing the door behind them.  

"Take a look around but don't go into the main room yet I want to shut off that camera first."  Len instructed Sara.  He moved into the room that had the tapes and shut them off.  He then shut off the alarms that would go off if they messed with the cases.  He also spotted a descent sized safe that he would be cracking momentarily.

"Alright we have free run of the place."  He told her with a wide smirk.  He tossed her a duffle bag that must have been left by one of the employees.  "You start in the front I'm going to open the safe.  Unless you'd like to come watch?"  He offered raising an eyebrow as he smirked at her.

As Leonard worked on the alarm, Sara watched his back, keeping an eye out for any stragglers. When he got the door unlocked, she turned to him to see him open the door for her. Smirking at him as she past, she entered the jewlery store.

When he went back to take care of the rest of the security, she took a look around, already seeing a few things that caught her eye. She hadn't been the jewlery type in years, but it didn't mean she wasn't interested in it.

It wasn't long before she started getting antsy, but luckily for her Leonard was done before she headed back there to check on him. She caught the duffle bag and put the strap over her shoulder. She returned his smirk when he asked if she wanted to watch.

Walking past him into the backroom, she looked back at him. "I'd love to watch the master at work." She said, with a wink, before walking fully into the room.

As Leonard worked on the safe, Sara sat on the desk, watching him work. He had this whole other look to him as he worked, causing her to want to be still and not risk disturbing him.

When he got the safe cracked and smirked at her triumphantly, she rolled her eyes wearing her own smirk. After he got everything from the safe into the duffle bag, she hopped off the desk. "Sure, I think I've been patient long enough." She smirked, before moving back into the main room.

Looking around the display cases, it was hard to pick out something that was really her. She saw a few things that screamed Laurel to her, but nothing that really peeked her interests. "Hey, you got an eye for this stuff, right?" she asked, not looking up at him as she continued her search. "Got any ideas what might work for a gal like me?" She looked up at him with a half smile.

Sara kept a straight face when he was studying her, but it was actually getting hard to. It wasn't that she would have noticed at first glance, but Leonard was actually looked kind of cute when he cocked his head to the side as he looked her over.

It was actually kind of hot.

Mentally shaking herself, she watched as he started looking through the cases. He looked so determined to find her a pair of earrings that she had to smile a little.

Her smile grew when he smashed one of the glass cases. Looks like the man has found something. She thought, leaning against the case she was by as he came back over to her.

"What do you think of these, Lance?"

She looked down to see the earrings and her eyes lit up. "Whoa, these are beautiful!" she exclaimed, happily taking them, before moving to a mirror.

Without hesitating, she slipped the earrings on. Pushing her hair behind her ears, she smiled at the earrings, fully happy with them. "Nice choice, Leonard." She said, turning back to face him.

Walking over to him, she grinned. "What do you think?" she asked, showing them off.

Sara smirked at the jewels as they entered the bag. "We get it all?" she asked, the bag already becoming full.

"Drinks, bar fights, and jewelry, you sure now how to treat a girl, Leonard." She said, looking up at him as she stepped closer.

"So what happens now?" she asked, looking at him through her lashes as she shouldered the duffle bag. "Is there a pizza place even opened this late?" She walked towards the exit.

Len smirked as she filled the bag with the gems.

"I suppose I learned what certain woman like from my sister.  She enjoys many similar things."  He told her with his chuckle.

As Sara put the bag on her shoulder he lead them back out through the back door.  "There's always a pizza joint opened."  He told her confidently.

They got back on the bike and started up.  He drove them around for a few minutes before finding a pizza joint still open.

"Told you."  He said with a knowing smirk.

He got off the bike and took the bag from the back of the bike and pulled out some bills to pay for the food.  He was a thief not a stick up man.  He would steal jewels not pizza.  He closed the bag and waited for Sara. He lead them in holding the door open for Sara. They sat down and waited for the only waitress to come over to take there order.

"Draft beer, chilled." Len ordered his drink and waited for Sara to order her own drink. "What pizza do you want?" He asked casually.

"Hmm, all right then, let's eat." She asid, getting off the bike and following him inside.

"Same as him." She told the waitress, before glancing at the menu. "Supreme, thin crust, extra olives." She ordered, before the waitress turned to Leonard and got his order.

"So," Sara stared once the waitress walked off to put in their orders. "Always treat your partners to dinner after a job?" she asked smirking. "Nice to unwind after that workout and cleaning out the store." She subcounciously messed with one of her new earrings.

It had been awhile since anyone had given her jewlery. Last serious relationship was with the daughter of an assasin overlord... She got a few things then, like her old eather jacket. She loved that thing...

Len smiled mysteriously at her not saying anything at first.  "Depends on the partner."  

He usually did get dinner with whoever he worked with but not like this.  This was more like a classic date then a post theft dinner.  When he worked with Lisa he made her dinner like when they were kids, and with Mick they usually just went back to the hide out and ate whatever was in the fridge.  In both cases they were at the hideout.  Actually no he didn't usually treat partners to dinner at all.  The closest he got was Lisa.  But Sara didn't need to know that.

He watched her play with her new earring and smirked.  He felt oddly warm knowing she liked what he picked out for her.

The waitress arrived quickly with their drinks and pizza.  Probably because there was no one else there and she wanted a tip.  Len looked up at her and smirked lightly at her.  The girl blushed and grinned passing his drink.  She touched his hand for a second longer then necessary.  Len raised an eyebrow at her.

He sipped his beer and pulled a slice of pizza and put it on his own plate before taking a bite.  He usually didn't care for supreme but he also didn't dislike it.  And since Sara happened to like he would deal with it.
